Printmaking: Learn Pochoir in a Day

Sunday December 8, 11-5 pm with Rob Borges at Tessera Glass Studio, 236 Wonder Street, Reno. Call 775-250-1871 to register or email meridianletterpress@gmail.com. $75 plus $10 materials fee.

Also known as stenciling, Pochoir was made popular in the early part of the 20th Century. In this class we will design and cut stencils, then use the Pochoir technique to create a lovely painted surface. Bring a craft brush, exacto knife and bag lunch to class.

Printmaking: Linoleum Carving and Relief Printmaking


Sunday January 12, 11-5 pm with Katherine Case at Tessera Glass Studio, 236 Wonder Street, Reno. Call 775-250-1871 to register or email meridianletterpress@gmail.com. $75 plus $10 materials fee.

Learn to carve simple, beautiful patterns or images in linoleum and print them using Japanese hand printing techniques. Linoleum carving and printing is an easy way to create greeting cards, stationery, prints and more–all at home using your own materials. This class will cover all you need to know to begin printing at home. Katherine will email students with a list a tools and materials to bring to class.
